Hello All!

I am a 32 yo mommy to a 9 yo and a 2 month old. I am not completely new to the Raw lifestyle. Five years ago, after the birth of my first daughter, I began eating vegan and eventually that led me to 100% raw eating. I lost 80lbs and have never felt better in my life! I know the health benefits first hand and can honestly say that eating Raw changed my life in so many ways.

Now I would like to get back to Raw eating however, I am breastfeeding and have some concerns about it. In addition, last year I tried to go Raw again but just couldn't get into the right state of mind to be successful.

So here I am! Ready to go, ready for support, and ready to share my experiences!

Peace,
Butterflyhigh

Welcome, I'm a 40+ daddy, but let me suggest this thought: If you were to get back to cooked eating , wouldn't you also have even more concerns about that?
So spread your wings high, Butterfly:o

Sorry unfortunately this is something I really don't know too much about...the whole pregnancy, breast feeding thing but I'm sure there are many on here that have great knowledge in this.:)

Welcome and I wish you the best in your return to raw. I don't have experience in the breastfeeding arena with raw but I would suggest eating a variety of raw foods. Fruits, greens, veges, nuts, and seeds. You may want to start with fruit and progress to heavier food thru the day. Be sure to get plenty of calories so that you will have a good milk supply. Find the foods/recipes that you like and incorporate them into your routine. See how you feel and take not of how your little one feels too. Some foods may make the baby gassy. There are other threads that you may read about this subject too.
