Rawcstacy

I originally joined awhile back taking a glance at the boards periodically, but haven't REALLY joined until now. Kind of like a re-birth. Heretofore I've been quite strong-willed, becoming a vegetarian (but not raw) before I was 16 (started at 15 reading every health book available in the library) for health/moral reasons, however I noticed a general decline (such as getting fungus/a wart) in health/vitality before age 30. So until today I've been engaged in this project of self-healing.
I've been 100% raw on-off-on for the last 7 years. I keep straying off the path go on a chocolate binge, beat up myself emotionally then start again. Reasons for this are social pressures (such as when going to a cooked dinner means getting an assignment), sugar/chocolate cravings (I've also realized I'm a recovering sugar addict - just look at all those boxes of organic sugar cookies in the "healthy junk food" stores), stress, & an unfortunate family situation - I get quite depressed sometimes. I just recently learned from V. B******o's series the importance of the buddy system - having a raw friends to be accountable to and support one another. That ahah moment is what brought me back here, now I believe I TRULY understand what community is about and what it is that Alissa is trying to do. So thank you for this forum.
My research shows maintaining 100 percent raw for 60 days would be the point beyond which it's unlikely to regress again. Who will stand with me? At this point I'm 100% raw since Sat eve, March 13th until now (Thurs 18th 4:00 am here, don't feel sleepy at all, must be the raw:)). I would really like to meet other kindred spirits traveling so PM me if you're coming to Asia. It would also be such a great joy to actually meet and eat together with others of like mind for the 1st time in 7 years as until now I'm the only raw foodist I know besides my kids.
The really good news is coconuts & other tropical fruits are cheap over here! The bad news is cherries are SO expensive!:(
