i've had an upper respiratory infection for a month. couldn't stop the coughing. asthma flared, had trouble breathing and pain in chest and ears. i was in real trouble and ended up on antibiotics and asthma meds for a week.

how do i flush them out of my system?

Get you some probiotics. The anti-biotics will leave on their own (they may still be doing their job) but what you REALLY want to do is rebuild the good bacteria in your system.

i've read about probiotics on this site several times. is this something i take for a couple weeks or is this like a superfood to take everyday?

Probiotics is one of the best supplements ever for strengthening your immune system. It's good to take it permanently, though you can take brief breaks from them. Take away from meds/supplements and with plenty of water on an empty stomach. Make sure it's a good quality non-dairy organic one similar to Garden Of Life Primal Defense Ultra.

Juice fasting is one of the best ways to flush out toxins. Also garlic. You can combine juices with simple raw eating if you don't want to do a full fast. Or you can do a smoothie fast or combination smoothie and juice one.
