Has anyone used resistance bands? I have been exercising at the club but I just bought some resistance bands to try to get in a little extra workout in if I am watching TV. The packaging says I can get a full-body workout. I really just want to work extra on my triceps, biceps and abs with the bands. Anyone???

My trainer uses them a lot in our workouts and I have to say, my arms are looking really toned . . .

Try it!!

I prefer dumbbells or body weight exercises but the bands are very versatile and can be used while travelling, so I say you give it a try. You can always do something else if you don't like them!

I like the bands to change my workouts up a bit, the key is to resist the negative movement..do it slow and focus on your muscle and you will get a great workout.

Well I tried the resistance bands but I guess I didn't research enough and I forgot to remember that the color of the bands determines light, medium or heavy resistance. So I ended up buying red - which was heavy - too heavy for me to workout with at this stage. I don't mind challenging myself at all - but the resistance was just too heavy. I returned them and they didn't have what I needed so I will find them someplace else...not giving up on the resistance bands!
