Bo has a little more focus on the royal throne.

wait t'a minute..........how do you know he stares at the floor???? you crack me up :p

if Kabat-Zinn only knew how far his books have made it! :D Maybe his "Coming to our [senses]" ought to be the one in the bathroom? :p

Maybe not, unless the title is all I need to read. Kinda slow reading one paragraph at a time.

slow reading????? maybe it's more like you "move" fast and not much more you can read??? maybe it's a good thing----that book is over 300 pages anyway.

ROFL - You two put a smile on my face today! :D

My therapist has recommended Jon Kabbat-Zen to me and I've just recently decided to join a group that she will be facilitating which will have a meditative focus and I know will at least draw from some of the work that she has done with Jon Kabbat-Zen. . . .

I'll keep you posted . . .

Many Blessings,
Karen

what else goes on in the bathroom that we need to know about

Karot, I am hoping to attend this summer and meet Kabat-Zinn with this whole mindfulness meditation experience. Isn't it amazing how much "effort" and focus it takes to not be "aware" It took me several weeks to be able to accomplish it. How long have you been practicing mindfulness?

Miss Linda -
I'm relatively new to the whole Jon Kabbat-Zen mindfulness approach, but have discovered in my recent readings that I have been into mindfulness for some time now (of course, I had to become mindful enough to discover it!). . .I have dabbled with so many different forms of meditation and read a great deal about mindfulness, but haven't put much into practice. . .yet. . . .another part of this wonderful journey that is yet to be explored. . .

Many Blessings,
Karen

Karot: Have you read any of his books?

I have to say I love them all but Coming to our Senses hallmarks his personality: scientific, technical yet sensitive. He has a natural/poetic resonating tone in his writing that captures the heart and soul of many readers.

I was introduced to mindfulness back in July 2005 and I was surpised how much energy it took to not try and "go anywhere" with mindfulness.........simply be, aware of what is [actually] happening at this very moment--as he would state "with in time and spance & beyone time and space........a seamless continuity....."

I will be attending a mindfulness workshop that a local psycho therapist is running here at one of our yoga studios...........EXCITED!

Kabat-Zinn's "Everywhere you go There you are..." popped in my head as I recall walking past Eddie Bauer the other day and their new motto for the season printed on their glasss display reads: "Everywhere you go, there [we] are." :) Tickled me to read that there. Just a thought that occurred to me.
