I love this site. Thanks for your help so far with diabetes questions. I want to include coconut oil in my diet. Should it be added to smoothies or how should I use it. Should it be bought in liquid form or solid and how do you keep it, and how long does it keep.

I have bought some almond butter, again can I use it in smoothies.

I am an absolute newbie here and am at the moment maybe 50% raw. Working toward:)s 75% when the warmer weather comes and I can't wait to start eating all those juicy salads, just too cold at the moment.

Thanks for all your help. I really appreciate it.

You can do whatever you want with food. Play with it; put it in recipes; eat it from a spoon, doesn't matter, it's all just food.

There are no "shoulds"... except those pertaining to your particular lifestyle issue.

Coconut oil is liquid in certain temperatures and solid when colder. There's really no choice there unless it's refrigerated, then, it's solid.

I have a friend that spreads coconut oil on crackers. My reaction was yuck but she loves it so I guess you can do what you want with it.

Thank you for all your support. It really helps. I guess I will just try the coconut oil and see what happens. Have a great mother's day all of you mothers out there - oh of course it is only in the UK.
