Hey guys and girlies...

I'm a complete newbie, got told all about this lovely diet by some friends and can't stop thinking about it. I have lots of weight to lose, about 9 stone and am currently doing a diet called The Cambridge Diet. Basically, it's 3 shakes a day... Pretty dreadful. You do lose the weight quick though. However, it's so hard and I miss fruit, veg and other goodies :(

How're you all finding this diet!? I'm thinking of starting it so any help would be greatly appreciated! :)

The Cambridge diet was poplar in the US in the 1980's. Basically you are fasting with less than 300 calories a meal. Yes I did it and got very ill. Eating raw or just going vegan is so much better for you body and soul. give it a try. Wishing you great success.:)

There are so many benefits of eating Raw.

The Raw food diet has helped many people find health when nothing else did. It can help anyone who wants healthy levels of blood cholesterol, healthy blood sugar levels, pain-free joints, clear glowing skin and shiny hair, reduced or eliminated cellulite, rapid elimination of excess weight, a permanent boost to your immune system, amazingly restful sleep, having unbelievable energy, unbelievable sex, increasing your mental focus, being in a happy and feel-good mood all the time, improving your relationships, and more.

Now, I ask you, what other diet out there can do all of these things for you? None!

Nothing more to add, welcome!

Welcome Claire! I agree with Marcel :)

I'll answer the question you asked another ... I'm just now jumping back in with RF after a hiatus of several years after a tragedy in our family. Prior to that I was raw for several years and loved it! But I'm also a very simple girl ... I don't like to make much of anything, just peel me a fruit or chop me a salad and I'm good! But I will make special goodies around birthdays and holidays though ... but then again, when I'm not making goodies week in, week out, then they seem all that more special when they are only made for special occasions!

I hope you decide to give it a try!

I was doing great last summer doing RFs, but then came the winter and wanted hot foods to get me warm. Little by little I am going back. I love big salads with nuts & seeds. It is filling and lite. Alissa's cook book is great also. I did a semi juice fast for 3 days before going raw, that helped with cravings and I felt better too.

Good Luck

hot foods to get me warm.

What about ginger, chili or cayenne in your smoothie, soup or salad? I promise, with the right amount you get HOT.
