I started on 2/27 and have been 99.9% raw and it has been pretty easy. I only slipped with some wholefoods seaweed salad and a few olives that tasted soooo salty to me I could not get the taste out of my mouth for an hour! I do eat some raw food bars and this raw almond fudge which is amazing! I eat salad and fruit with great variety so it does not get boring. I sometimes juice greens and wheatgrass as well. I'm waiting for my vitamix to incorporate smoothies so i can get some more greens in and make new and exciting dishes:) I have lost about 5lbs so far and have seen a slight decrease in fasting blood sugar(i am diabetic... for now ;)

Been chomping on oranges this morning ... I'm telling ya, I'm on an oranges and bananas kick here recently. I really, really, really crave them - so I'm eating them in abundance!!
I'm about to go meet an internet friend at a salad place I love ... they are driving in from out of state ... so my 11 year old and I will be eating a nice HUGE salad for lunch then heading off to her MRI (oh did I mention she fell down an embankment and has hurt her knee badly - no broken bones but possible tendon, ligament, or nerve damage ... prayerfully just swelling from getting knocked around though). This internet friend is going raw and learning all about it :) So I'm really excited to meet up today!
Not sure what we'll do for tonight as we have Holy Unction tonight and we generally don't eat a lot before going to this service. So we will probably just have some smoothies. Who knows right now!

Alright, let's see if I can remember what I ate today.
Breakfast Smoothie: kale, banana, orange, maca, flax powder, green supplement, an entire bag of frozen mangos (I wanted it sweet! Husband said it was "especially good" today.
Throughout the day thus far: just picked on the dehydrated food I'd made. Cheesy Kale Crisps - ate a bunch, then felt not so great. Then later picked on the Sweet Potato Chips, but they are oily and chewy and not too appealing.
hmmm, I feel like I must have eaten more, but I guess not. Those dehydrated snacks really filled me up.
Making dinner for my husband tonight, though not sure what I'll be eating myself as I'm not too hungry and don't have a ton of ingredients.
But, for dessert I'm definitely going to try making the Banana-Papaya Pudding! My papaya is ripe and ready, and I'm excited to try this simple (but supposedly delicious!) dish.
Good night all, and happy Friday!

Joya, if you don't like the papaya/banana pudding ( I didn't) try papaya with just lime juice. I used to really not like the gaminess of papaya..but now I like it this way. The lime cuts and balances the flavor.

Thanks for the tip, Thick.
I liked it okay. My husband, on the other hand, absolutely LOVED it. Said it was the best raw thing I've made yet. So that helped me enjoy it more. ;)
The texture was a little odd for me, kind of gelatinous and watery. But I would definitely make it again. The squeeze of lime sounds like it would add to it though, thanks.
