I've been eating desserts lately with almond butter/ honey & cacao powder. My body's been craving sweets like mad but I know my doesn't like when I eat desserts like these (esp when I eat them everyday, for like the past week).

Anyway I wanna fast from desserts for the rest of the month beginning tomorrow. I would LOVE some support b/c I feel like I'm gaining control of saying no to desserts :)

That's not really sweets you are craving ~ more like fats, sweets, and whatever it is cacao contains. You're limiting your focus. Why not switch off to eating healthier fatty foods such as avos and olives? Root veggies such as carrots might help with the sweet taste.

We often tend to go from one extreme to another ~ overeating something to not eating anything. Might consider finding a balance.... then again... might not.

Thanks Revell. I know balance is the key....sometimes I struggle with that cause I think it will help me get back on track if I stay away from it. & most of the time it does b/c I just feel cleaner when I don't eat those things. I don't know why! I know it's all raw, I guess it's easier for me to overeat on dessert stuff than it is for me to overeat on olives or avacados.

I haven't had carrots in a while! Thanks for the reminder I'll pick some up today :)

You're welcome. Let us know how that goes for you.

Revvell, good point on the not overeating thing! I'm gonna start tomorrow doing more of my fats from avos & olive oil (which when I did that before I had great results).....why do I get off track! UGH! LOL

Thanks again! I'll keep ya posted ;)

I'm with Revvell, but I also see you would benefit from a month long green juice fast which will reset your cravings, clear toxins, heal your low blood sugar issues. If you're like me, you want to see immediate results, lol. I feel you sister.

Merely a suggestion: Put the focus on consuming Green Juices or just juice more for a month (check out Gabriel Cousens' Spiritual Nutrition or Conscious Eating)

Post fast: As already suggested, focus on getting your nutrition from healthy raw energy foods, which includes some of those desserts. You don't have to limit yourself! You're craving certain foods because your body is lacking in what it needs for energy. Or actually, it might just be what it needs! Only you will figure out the answer to that. But really, there's no problem...just a learning path and getting reacquainted with your body.

Also focus on your navel whatever you decide during your special 30 day fast. Your 3rd chakra, near the navel is out of balance...it's where energy is distributed in your body. Yoga or deep breathing and meditation will help. This will also take your focus off of eating for energy....energy is dispersed in the body in many ways. I think you're subconsciously also eating a lot of the sweets to keep yourself in balance because of the 3rd chakra blockages. Also some of your emotional eating patterns are being released as you eat more raw foods. It's not that there's a problem!...this emotional eating tendency is actually on its way out. Again, you will become keen on distinguishing all of this for yourself the more raw you become. Make it fun.

Blessings!

When you talk about doing a juice fast does this include smoothies with fruit? Or strictly all greens? I have a blender & currently have a green smoothie every morning consisting of:
Bananas/ ground flax/ spirulina, wheat grass, maca & kelp powder, would this be considered a drink for a juice fast?

I love what Revell said.

This is raw freedom and balance. Having foods, whatever appeals to us and not so much of any one thing.

My son eats raw for three days and then goes all off to the junkiest things. It might be worse on the body for the extremes than to go along smoothly eating a well balanced eating plan.
