Hi all :)

Okay, so I've been in love with green smoothies for a long while now - I think I've had one for breakfast almost every day for at least the last year! and I'm interested to try doing a few days, maybe even a more extended period of time, on JUST green smoothies. I was wondering whether anyone had any insightful experiences of green smoothie feasting to share?

Did you lose weight?

Did your skin/hair/nails improve?

Did your digestion improve?

What did you add to your smoothies?

Has anyone done a gs feast and kept a blog about it recording day-to-day experiences?

I don't have any particular conditions I'm looking to heal, just feeling like my body needs a bit of 'spring cleaning' hehe (my skin is a mess, digestion could be better...) but don't feel ready for a juice or water feast.

Any insight would be greatly appreciated! Thanks :) XxXxX

What does your green smoothie consist of?

My favourite at the moment is just bananas, coconut water and spinach/celery/parsley/lettuce/sprouts/kale :) I like adding other things too, like spirulina, flaxseed, bee pollen, but if I were to do JUST green smoothies I'd probably want to mix up the fruits and stay away from adding any extras.

it's GREAT!!! you get nice and full... it's easy to break cause your digestion doesn't go to sleep. you get heaps of nutrition and yup... you release weight and detox. the detox is way slower than fasting on water or juice.

it's a great way to fast and work out cause you have the energy to work out if you want to.

remember... every single smoothie doesn't have to be green. you can treat yourself to one a day that doesn't have greens in it. perhaps a nice blended fruit... mmmm or you can also use nut mylks if you wish. make your own rules... after all, it's your feast!

I did GS for a while in Jan/Feb. I find it's much quicker than juicing, and I didn't experience much detox after the first 5 days. However, I didn't find my cravings for food went away, because I was still chewing and digesting smoothies. Sooo good for the body though! I had my pH tested on March 3, and it was a perfect 7. I'd say it's the easiest kind of fast to do.

Thanks for the positive feedback, guys! I'm really keen to do this :) I won't start right away, since I have at least a week's worth of food left in my fridge(!) but I will keep y'all posted :)
