Hi Everyone,

I'm back on the wagon again after being off for probably well over a year or more. I am well aware of all of the benefits. HoneStly, I've just been lazy, overwhelmed, not supported by family. Change is just hard and I don't do it well or easily.

However, I don't mean to beat myself up and am glad to be back again. I've been eating raw now for 2 days and wonder (as I have before @ this point) how I ever got sidetracked from RAW and back on the SAD. I'm telling you all (as everyone knows) This food is EXCELLENT!

I made a recipe I found on the forum last night for cheese-its and they are tantalizing. I had to adapt because I didn't have lemon juice or onion powder so the 1st batch has a mexican twist. Thy are in the dehydrator and I also saved some for dip.

I have a host of problems/symptoms a lot due to SAD. Here is a short list of some of my goals I will accomplish this time:

Overcome food addiction
Lose weight
Neck and chest pain to go away
Quit living on tums and rolaids (I take them everyday)
Feel more vibrant
Clear up my skin (new problem as of late)
Have more energy
Find a raw friend to be accountable/vice versa

I also have Hashimoto's thyroiditis but I don't think that is going to be improved since it is an autoimmune disorder. although I'd love to be pleasantly surprised. It hasn't been regulated since I had my son 2 years ago, I go up and down like a yoyo. If anyone has any suggestions about that I'd love to hear them.

I'm glad this forum is here and I'm glad to be back. Really surprised at how much I am enjoying making the food this time. It is more fun.

:D

Welcome back. I think we have all jumped off the wagon here and there. The important thing is that you are back. Yea!!!.

Thank you for your loving spirit(there's no angel-wing smiley to use here or I would), I do however think it would be more apropos to say "strayed from the path" Think of how many injured members (myself included) in the forum there would be if we're constantly falling off wagons. http://smileyjungle.com/smilies/laughing22.gif (http://smileyjungle.com) Seriously, think of how many children would be left unattended in such a scenariohttp://smileyjungle.com/smilies/ill10.gif (http://smileyjungle.com), spare a thought for the kids, please

Friendly note to admin - please upgrade your smiley collection there are some boards (non-food) that I know have a menu of 60 to choose from - with lovehttp://smileyjungle.com/smilies/love12.gif (http://smileyjungle.com) , Rawcstacy

First and foremost, continue eat to live food.
Second to help your autoimmunity, I suggest you supplement with Lugol's solution (which is a blend of two forms of Iodine), which sadly is only available in your country in a very expensive watered down solution. For other options contact me:)

LOL. Getting a mental pic of a bunch of us with boo-boo's and sprained ankles running after the wagon. Like your style.:D

I picture wagons that the settlers used going west in the 19th century, so you'd end up at least with a sprained ankle:(. Perhaps Alissa would be nice enough to cover us against virtual injuries sustained on the forum, including falling off of the aforementioned wagons.

Just thinking it would be interesting to hear swami Beyondananda's take on this.

I REALLY DOhttp://smileyjungle.com/smilies/angry8.gif (http://smileyjungle.com) wish though that you lovely folks would quit bringing up wagons when discussing raw food, it's giving me a bad case of motion sicknesshttp://smileyjungle.com/smilies/ill6.gif (http://smileyjungle.com).
