Hi Everyone,
I'm back on the wagon again after being off for probably well over a year or more. I am well aware of all of the benefits. HoneStly, I've just been lazy, overwhelmed, not supported by family. Change is just hard and I don't do it well or easily.
However, I don't mean to beat myself up and am glad to be back again. I've been eating raw now for 2 days and wonder (as I have before @ this point) how I ever got sidetracked from RAW and back on the SAD. I'm telling you all (as everyone knows) This food is EXCELLENT!
I made a recipe I found on the forum last night for cheese-its and they are tantalizing. I had to adapt because I didn't have lemon juice or onion powder so the 1st batch has a mexican twist. Thy are in the dehydrator and I also saved some for dip.
I have a host of problems/symptoms a lot due to SAD. Here is a short list of some of my goals I will accomplish this time:
Overcome food addiction
Lose weight
Neck and chest pain to go away
Quit living on tums and rolaids (I take them everyday)
Feel more vibrant
Clear up my skin (new problem as of late)
Have more energy
Find a raw friend to be accountable/vice versa
I also have Hashimoto's thyroiditis but I don't think that is going to be improved since it is an autoimmune disorder. although I'd love to be pleasantly surprised. It hasn't been regulated since I had my son 2 years ago, I go up and down like a yoyo. If anyone has any suggestions about that I'd love to hear them.
I'm glad this forum is here and I'm glad to be back. Really surprised at how much I am enjoying making the food this time. It is more fun.
:D
