Hi All, I'm new to juicing, and am discovering that I get very little juice out of the leafy greens I run through the juicer, especially compared to other vegetables like carrots and beets. Just this morning, for instance, I must have tossed four-five handfuls of spinach in the juicer but got very little return. Is it possible that my juicer is discarding the lightweight leafy vegetables too quickly into the pulp bin without extracting all the juice? I have two motor levels, high and low, and I ran the leaves through on the low register. Should I simply expect to get less juice for spinach, kale, swiss chard, etc? Thanks for your advice!

Of course you will get less juice from dryer stuff. On the other hand it also depends on the juicer - some extract better than others.

What kind of juicer do you have? I find my Breville Juice Fountain does not extract much from leafy greens, so I tend to use my Omega for that.

Either way though, it does seem to take a lot of leafy greens to make juice!

I have a Breville Juice Fountain, too. Hmm...
Which green vegetables do folks find produce the most juice?

I really like the Breville for speed. Here's one of my fav quick recipes for green juice:

1/2 inch Ginger Root
Large Bunch of Dinosaur Kale
Head of Celery
Large Cucumber
3 or 4 Granny Smith Apples
