Sweetness

Hi all,
I started raw once in January, got horribly sick with whatever was going around and it kinda turned me off the idea. It was honestly the worst sickness I'd been through in a LONG time. I was stuck in bed and finally decided that cooked food might help me shake it. (I also missed a few very important appointments so I was desperate to get well fast.)
So I started this again hoping that none of that horrible sickness from before was detox. (if detox was THAT bad I doubt if I'd ever manage this!!). After about two days my nagging headache passed and I'm doing great. I do have moments of feeling very tired, but I'm living a high stress lifestyle at the moment and I know that nibbles away at me.. so I take a 20 min nap (when possible) and resume life. I'm trying hard to respect my body when it says to PLEASE STOP for a bit. :)
I'm all about integrity and realizing that *I* am in charge of my life. I don't like playing the victim nor do I have a lot of patience for people who go on about how they can't do XYZ because their SO would NEVER go for it, blah, blah. I just bite my tongue.. but really.. who you are, what you eat, your health, etc is all up to you. I spent my 20s being a victim. My 30s are for me. I've started a new business/career and I'm loving life. Losing weight has been that hurdle that I've been unable to jump, but couldn't figure out why.
I have figured out that raw works for me. Emotional eating -gone-. Boredom eating -gone-. Impulsive eating -gone-. Cravings -gone-. Hunger -gone- (unless true hunger).
Along with all of that I have lost over 10lbs in my first 10 days. I've lost 1" in my waist measurement. 1" in my thigh.. 1/2 inch in upper arm.
I like taking good long looks at my day, week, life, goals, etc which leads to long-winded rambles.
Nobody around me eats raw, but I do feel as if I get plenty of support from this website. I do have a friend "dieting" with me and we're doing a challenge for 40 days. That is good motivation. I've lost/gained in the 209-220 range many times. Being _under_ 209 will also be its own motivation because it is a whole new territory.
Along with 100% raw, I am starting on a 3x/wk strength training (in home) plan and adding in more cardio.
