Hey everyone. Gross question-- I am on the 10th day of a juice fast, and I occasionally release something that looks like pieces of tape worm. I know there are a few parasite cleanses out there, but is there one I can use while I am still juicing? So gross, but sort of cool. I used to eat a lot of sashimi, so I probably do have one, right?

juice garlic with your juices... and parasites will run from the building!

your welcome! works like a dream... try to have some daily for the next month or two (that's what i did)... ;) you want to get the eggs after they hatch as well. ;)

Aleesha, wait... how do you get rid of the eggs? Does garlic juice also work for that? And by "flee from the building" do you mean they literally exit your body still alive, or are they killed by the juice and then your body clears up the mess? I'm just curious, since anticipating the possiblitiy of worms living INSIDE of me freaks me out.

Actually, you don't want to kill the worms in your intestines and you can't kill the eggs!

That said, yes, you want the worms to come out alive and down the toilet! If you kill them inside of you then you have all their dead, decomposing bodies to deal with - usually buried into your flesh! When you make it uncomfortable, they go looking for a new place - outside of you! So they let go and get out before they die! They pack their little bags and move on leaving nothing dead inside of you!

An increase in fiber foods help here too! It makes them hurry up to get out of you to find a more comfortable home! Sort of like moving 500 people with a bus or with a VW. One just gets more people there faster. The fiber is the bus!

As for the eggs, you need them to hatch and while they are kids (not mature enough to lay eggs) to get them out of you. Thereby leaving you with no adult worms to lay eggs! (As in no worms at all!)

So you need to treat through one complete worm cycle. That could be 3-6 weeks. If you see stuff, you may want to be safe and treat for a couple months.

If you live where there are a lot of worms, like the Philippines, you may want to adopt a program to fight this of once a year, once each six months or even something daily!

Hope this helps!

Umm.. unless I'm way off base.. a tapeworm can be deadly because it can travel to the brain. This is something I'd take up with my doctor. If he gives you advice you dislike you can always ignore it, but I wouldn't mess around with this one.

Now.. I will say that I have a major (MAJOR!) worm phobia so that's probably why I'd go for allopathic medicine in this case. Just the idea of a worm coming out in the toilet gives me the willies. (And I'm the type that'd eat a piece of my placenta to stop a PPH, so I'm all for natural remedies vs. drugs :)

Clarika, if you can get it, is good too. Also, if you're okay with colonics, one with salt water and baking soda can help move stuff out. You can even put cloves of garlic in your shoes, because your feet will absorb it up...seriously!

I wouldn't be alarmed about the worms. But as far as I know, parasites will only come out of the body dead.

Thanks VeGenesis! Once when I was a wee lass I let a dog kiss me and someone said to start checking the toliet. :o That created a little bit of paranoia for me as I continued to grow...

When summer hits, or maybe spring break, I want to do a juice fast for at least a week. I did an 8-day one summer of 2009 (I was 14) and had only beneficial results, so I don't think juice fasts are dangerous as long as it's for a short time in youngsters' cases.

Gotta clean that bad junk out of me! :D
