Hi my name is Katie. I've struggled with binge eating/ compulsive eating since the age of 14 when my dad was diagnosed with cancer. It spiraled even more after his death at the age of 15. I reached my highest weight of 250 pounds at 21 years old. I am down to 200 but want to reach 130 pounds. my friend Patricia told me about the raw foods diet and how it would help me lose weight and break my binge eating and be healthy. I decided to jump on the bandwagon to get some ideas on eating to get me started when I buy my first round March 12th when my foodstamps come in.
Welcome, I wish you success on your new journey. Check out the Before and After Section of this forum. I believe you will be encouraged by the success of many people who have lost weight my changing thier lifestyle using raw foods. It can be done econamically... there are some websites for eating raw economically. Good Wishes.;)

Welcome!! :D Raw food is an excellent way to break the binge cycle. It is good for mind, body, and soul. I am so happy that you found it.

welcome to the rawjourney. I wouldn't recommend rawfood to get rid of too much weight, thats a slight bonus of a healthy, energetic, satisfying, tasty and living food.
Yes, it will help you to step out of this circle, it is just AMAZING.

thanks. I am going to be working through my first raw foods list for groceries and will start the process march 13th. I am researching and trying to figure out what to list to get me started on the process.
