I was raw for several weeks but fell off the wagon. I plan to start over again March 1st. I am dying to make it work this time!! When I was raw earlier this year, I was happy, energetic, and needed less sleep... This forum helped me during that time, and I look forward to utilizing it again as a tool to help me stay raw!!

Right there with ya Lauren :(
Once I had to break my juice fast on Feb. 6th I REALLY fell off the wagon the rest of the month.
I want to feel good again too, so I'm ready to "start over" How many times have I said that
You can e-mail me anytime if you need support or accountability .

I've tried to go full out 100% raw in the past, but did a new approach this time. I've been drinking green smoothies since January 1. Then in February I started raw until dinner with my green smoothies. I started 100% raw yesterday and am excited to push on for the next 30 days. Starting slowly worked for me and I really did lose a lot of cravings for sugar and cooked food.

I would love to. Comforting to know I'm not the only one struggling! I think we should keep in touch -- since we seem on a similar raw food path :)

Hi everyone, this is actually my first post ... I'll post in the introduction area in a minute. Three of my girls and I are doing this together. They are 15, 14, and 11. I have been raw before so this is not new to me.
The children are not currently homeschooled (we have in the past and are looking to again) so we have discussed that they will need to transition due to some unpleasant detox symptoms that can develop. It will be the level of detox symptoms that will dictate when they will go 100% ... if it hasn't happened by the time school is out then 100% will happen the first day of summer vacation. At that point the 2 youngest kids will be following suit as well - they already eat high raw on their own (they were raised raw vegan from birth until a tragic event bumped me off the wagon).
I really don't see the oldest three boys trying this out anytime soon and I only foresee hubby going 75-85% raw at the most.... but I could be wrong - our example could make a great impact!!

I'm in for March. Have tried and failed raw many, many times in the last 5 years. I'm at my heaviest and unhealthiest right now and ready to start again.

Hi everyone! I'm back! I did 33 days raw last fall, and this forum was instrumental in keeping me on track and inspiring me with great menus and ideas! Happy to be here again!
I will do a 12 day raw feast this month (not the full 30 because I am going to China mid-month...) My reason for going 100% for these next two weeks is because I need to quell the craving for sugar that has been growing! Time to nip that one in the bud!
Starting Day 1 with good preparation! :)
B: granola of dried bing cherries, sunflower seeds, pepitas, & banana with almond milk
L:(brought my own to work today) mache, roquette & tomato salad
Have a great day everyone!

O.K.!!!!!!!!!! I'M INNNNNN!!!!
I SOOOOO want to do 30 days!!! It's been hard for me in the past to do past 10, but I am setting a goal this time and I really want to complete it. When I look back on the past 30 days, it went by so FAST.... :giggles: So, I'm hoping the next 30 will fly by just as FAST... :giggles: (...sorry couldn't help it!!!) :p
I was very encouraged the few days I did it last month... But, I'm ready to up my committment to myself. I will post every day.
Anyway, I will do mostly Water with Juices (esp Coconut!!!) thrown in too. I'm making the committment for ME.....just for ME. I keep WANTING to do this!!! I'm tired of "thinking" about FASTING 30 DAYS..... I'm gonna just do it!
One day at a time...! ....Aleesha, please hold my hand!!! :)
Hi, I'm new here and will post also to the introduction area.
I was in transition for 3-4 months. In February I was 75- 80 % raw (cooked food only at dinner)This months I feel ready to go 100% raw. I have my receipts, organic vegies, fruits, dried fruits, and nuts :) So, count me in!
I'm so excited and many thanks for your support in advance.

Ozy-
We seem to be in the same place. After doing raw until dinner last month, my body seems ready to go 100% now.:)
Renee-
You seem extremely positive! Please post every day because we'll need that good energy around:) I will probably have those really cranky moments at some point and will need a dose of positive thinking!

Here we go! :) I feel very excited about these 30 days as well. No cravings as yet! in the two hours I have been awake :) but when or if they come I am going to talk to them, see what they have to say and offer them raw alternatives. The sugar one I expect to see after dinner :)
Today so far I have had half a pineapple and I plan to drink lots and lots of water. I am coming off coffee, I love it but I find it represses my appetite and when I drink it in the morning I don't feel like eating until 2 or3 in the afternoon so my system might be a little mixed up as to what to eat or when to eat for the first few days. I will listen to it carefully though.
I look forward to getting to know everyone here, I think it will be a fun 30 days!

Wow~! So many people! I'm so excited! Nice to meet all of you.
I'm drinking my first green smoothie right now, but I'm not liking it all too well. I can only handle it in sips. I blended 1c of spinach, a little bit of mango, and a spoonful of nutritious raw powder (like algae, hemp seed, etc.) I think that I will had more fruit next time.
I plan to finish off my strawberries today. oOoOOo. I love strawberries. They're my favorite fruit, but they're also really expensive compared to other fruits. I get mine at Costco to save money.
Right now, I'm in a love-hate relationship with my skin. My forehead is so much clearer and smoother, but the rest of my body is SO DRY. I'm even getting cuts on my fingers and lips. I try to put some coconut oil on them, but they're dry again in a couple of hours. Well, at least coconut oil lasts much longer than any other lotion that I've tried.

Alrighty, here it is Day 1!
I never know when I will get to log on to the computer so I'll just have to post whenever I get the chance. I just got home from having class at 7, followed by a pit stop at the automechanic, then went and registered two of my daughters for different stuff - 11 year old for 4H camp this summer and 6 year old for gymnastics again (she's on the team and has been on a medical leave of absence for 4 months) then it was off to the store to get dirt plugs for my seed starter. Now I'm back home.
I have had so far:
An orange
A banana
A salad (romaine and tomato)
I may have some trail mix of almonds and raisins and coconut for snack later and for dinner I plan a salad of romaine, tomato, cucumber, and avocado.
I'm in!
I'm currently on Day 14, and intend to be raw the entire month of March... so here goes! :)

Hey all! Happy March 1! I'm in, starting a 50 day raw challenge - in 50 days I'll be starting a super intense yoga teacher training program, so I am ready to get myself ready for that - committing to raw feels different this time, like I'm finally just tired of dealing with not being raw. This isn't something I have to talk myself into, I just *feel* that I am *going* to do it, instead of *thinking* that I *should* do it.
Started today with grapefruit and pineapple smoothie concoction, a handful of raw almonds . . . for lunch I've got a green smoothie and some dried pineapple. Oh, and some more of my grapefruit and pineapple smoothie for later :)
Best wishes!

Just thinking...
I am now into my 7th month of raw! Not 100% all the time, but only a few cooked nibbles a month since the end of august! Quite pleased!
I enjoy posting on these threads though.
Exercise for the day:
1.5 hour hilly bike ride
A few hours rummaging about the house and hauling new flooring supplies
Food:
B: 3 pounds of red grapes
L: 10 nanners
1st D: 1 head romaine, 2 small avos, 8 medium tomatoes
2nd D: 19 medium oranges
A delicious day!

Hi=) I'm hesitant to join the challenge because I get so obsessed with raw food talk and feel as if I HAVE to log in everyday.
It's nice to meet all of you and for those that stick around, I'm sure we'll all get very close. Spring is such a great time to jump into 100%.
Okay today's food, is a little wierd for me--but I was busy.
Alissa's pesto stuffed mushrooms..all day, every meal! Not very balanced, haha! But, I'm about to make chocolate dipped strawberries, too. By the way the mushrooms are so, so good. If you haven't made them--do so as soon as possible.
Where are you Kidkid? hmm?
