Besides all the physical health improvements I have noticed since becoming raw I am more confident, stand-up for my self, feel more connected to people, animals, the earth. I don't second guess my feelings..I just feel stronger as a woman and mother.

I'm interested in hearing how raw has changed others lives beyond the physical?

How?

It could be from some spiritual work that I've been doing but I feel more balanced emotionally. There have been times over the last few months when the roof seemed to be falling in in certain areas of my life and I was like, 'gee , thats a bit frustrating'. A year ago and the same problems would have seen me FREAK out!
Also trust the 'system' far less and challenge perspectives and look for alternative solutions in situations , I may once have been happy to follow the flock.
Clearer thinking. Hard to guage this one but I know I feel cleaner.
Appreciating life like I never imagined. I used to eat to fill me, now I eat for pleasure. Waking up to the simple pleasures also.Bringing nice smelling washing in from the line, watching the sun go down, feeling the breeze on my face.
All things that I somewhat ashamedly never felt before or certainly never felt with the intensity I now do.
And definitely feel more connected to the earth which is not easy in these times of pollution and lack of respect.

I echo your sentiment about "connectedness." Sometimes it feels like the sense of self extends beyond my physical body and permeates everything and one around me. A byproduct of that is greater empathy and sensitivity... it's so much easier to be happy for other people's successes instead of feeling threatened or competitive.

I find it easier to attract the things I want into my life -- to take control of the way my future unfolds instead of feeling like I'm at the mercy of the universe's whims. That probably is not due directly to raw food, but to the greater clarity of focus raw food brings.

Fearlessness. Comfort in my own skin and confidence about who I am.

More vivid dreams; easier time inducing lucid dreams.

Amplified emotions. Gratitude, happiness, joy, etc. all seem more authentic and intense!

I also love the random bouts of euphoria that pop up. No real cause, just a surging feeling of bliss.

Even if raw food offered zero physical benefits, I'd eat this way for the mental/emotional components alone.

I thought I was a happy, optimistic person before raw, but now it's definately magnified. I am just so happy now, sometimes for no reason at all. Everyday feels like the best day of my life, or close to it. :)

On a different note, I also have gained newfound knowledge on plants from eating raw. We are reading Harper Lee's To Kill a Mockingbird in my high school English class, and the teacher asked "Why did Mr. Radley shoot his gun towards the sky?" I answered with "Because he thought a black person was trying to steal his collard greens." A few moments of silence passed. "What's wrong?" The class responds that I only needed to say "stealing from his garden", that the exact type of vegetable wasn't so necessary. In a more serious way, I now understand a lot of what I see in the produce section. Information in power!

I have also become more social and self-confidant, but that's probably from the happiness, and I found other raw people (whether in real life or online) tend to be some of the nicest, friendliest, and most caring people in the world. Just being around them makes me want to be more loving. :o I end up being so, too. ;D

Yeah I've noticed these things too. I think it's because my mental state has gotten so much better. I was able to go off my anxiety and depression meds when I went raw. :D

Yoga has helped too, and I think yoga pairs wonderfully well with raw.

Ditto all of above. :)

I have come out of my shell. I look people in the eye. I put myself in social situations and conversations that I would have stayed out of before.

I have found an inner peace that extends outward in the form of patience and tolerance.

This way of life is helping me to make more careful decisions and be more selective, use more discretion, as a consumer. I have chosen to do so not only for what I eat but all aspects of consumption.

I hope I don't come off too materialistic, here. Because I was thrilled to find this week a store with the cutest styles of sandals that I want to wear. I am so happy to know I can wear these little sandals guilt-free!

I wish I could pinpoint what causes this to happen. Is it intestinal flora that are happy? Surges of some hitherto unknown effect of some food I ate? Or is the "you are what you eat" philosophy allowing me to feel vibrations of a sort from the food? The blissfully intense cell snuggling of those 5 oranges I ate? Is it a neurotransmitter thing? Or is it plant magic?=)
