So I had a house full of guests today and ran to the health food store for some snack stuff

Grabbed some ORGANIC dried cherries and lots of little munch items for finger bowls

man, i loved that cherry bowl today distracted by all of the people

at the end when they all left i ate another few while cleaning up and knew right away.....I'D BEEN SPIKED

organic cherries........sugar, and canola oil....why do they do that?!

yeah i know. they taste fine and sweet withOUT the sugar. seriously. they do it to blueberries to. the worse ive ever seen though is in the regular grocery stores in europe, the DATES had ingredients on them: dates, glucose syrup...:eek: i mean theyre DATES! theyre alerady like pure sugar! gimme a break! adulteration of food :(

How about "Grapples." Apples that have been made to taste like grapes.

Took some searching to find out what they are "infused" with, their website is mum on that data. According to Wikipedia:

"The product is created via a patent-pending liquid infusion process which includes concentrated natural and artificial grape flavor and water as its primary ingredients."

Just what our kids need, more chemicals and artificial flavorings coursing through their veins.

I don't get this. If I wanted to eat an apple, I'll eat an apple. Same with grapes. If I want them together...juice :)

Jeanie-- Drives me NUTS that they do that!! I had a similar experience at a restaurant: asked for a fruit bowl, plain...it came to me with a big dollop of whipped cream. :rolleyes: People don't get that fruit is sweet enough on it's own!? Especially something like dried cherries!!

well for regular people, it probably tastes better, when all you eat is raw, a date tastes like heaven, compared to a reeses penut butter cup or a bag of M&Ms it tastes like crap......

so if i ate sad i wouldnt mind some cream with my fruit lol
