Man I have been doing good until today.

I was 19 hours into a 36 hour fast and grubbed out on SAD.
No wonder I am fat! I eat lots of junk food now my belly hurts.
This is my first big failure since I started 30 days ago.
Hopefully I will be back on track in the morning.

Maybe you were hungry...? Do you drink a lot of liquid/water when you fast?

Try not to beat yourself up too badly. It's one day. You can even continue today doing well!! YOU CAN DO IT! :)

I have found fasting to be much easier when the body signals that it dosn't want food. I also have found that when I am eating (opposite fasting) that if I stay tuned into my body's messages and pick up on an early weak hunger signal and eat enough to silence the signal I can completely eliminate binging. The trick is to not move into the area of stronger hunger signals because it becomes very easy to grab the wrong foods and eat to much. A slight hunger signal is good but a strong hunger signal invites a quick food fix of junk food. Try to achieve a steady middle of the road approach for diet mastery. Good luck.

Back on track tomorrow, Steve, and no looking back!!!

Fasting is a tricky business - you have to love it. If you are not loving it, and not capable of going on with it, break the fast the proper way - fresh fruit juice if it's a water fast, or fruit if it's a juice fast.

Best of luck!

Holy smokes I gained a few pounds from yesterday.

Today I am back on track and won't let the minor set back
stop me from future success.

It's only water weight, it will go down in a few days...salt plays a HUGE role in this. Unless you ate 9000 calories, than MAYBE you'd have gained a pound. Don't forget to drink your water!!

don't beat yourself up..it happens all of the time. the important thing is to recognize how it made your body feel. WHen I do a fast even for 24hrs.. I have to keep my mind busy and try to stay away from home. I'm too cheap to eat out!! Just keep the water bottle full, find somethings outside. If you like photography, get the digital (if you have one) out and go crazy..you can always delete them.

My first fast did not go to well. With the support of this forum I was able to complete about 3-4 days by doing water first and then juicing and green smoothies. At first I was unhappy but I quickly learned that everything is not always going to go as planned so I just went with the flow. I did not last on my fast as long as I wanted but I felt that I wanted to eat so I did. I have plenty of time to try again. Good luck.

Back on track and all the weight that I gained is gone plus a few more so it must of been water retention as stated above.

The only way to success is through failure- you fail your way to success!:)
