I had some green beans marinating in "kung pao" sauce overnight, then I got busy and forgot about them until the next day. SO they were in the fridge marinating for 2 1/2 days. The main ingredients were garlic, olive oil, honey & Ume plum vinegar. Do you think I should still eat it or would you throw it away? I'm not sure. The smell is *really* strong, but that's probably just 'cause they've been marinating for so long. So, WWYD?

I'd eat one, wait 30 minutes and see what my stomach does. It seems 2 1/2 days in the fridge is no biggie.

I was just worried because the "sauce" separated and the honey & garlic kinda clumped together all weird...and ALL I can smell is the Ume. Man, that stuff is strong! They have dehydrated long enough to be warm, so I guess I'll go try one. I wonder what would happen if I dehydrated them overnight. Hmmm....

honey garlic and vinegar are all natural food preservers. I would munch away with confidence!

Thanks, T-bird!
I tried one and they were OK, but I put WAY too much Ume in the recipe. I think I will dehydrate them into crunchy green bean "chips". It may end up being disgusting, but at least I tried!
