I think some of you may have given me the advice when I did this previously to JUST do smoothies. Did a lot of you start out this way?

Now I'm the smoothie queen!! I'm about 60 pounds overweight and not very healthy (soon! soon!) and am having NO detox sypmtoms this time at 100 percent raw!

I'm blending everything up and really listening to my body regarding if I need a smoothie that's fruity/sweet/more watery/thick/hearty veggies/combo etc. I'll throw in some almonds here and there as well.

I don't know if it's the smoothies or that I'm not doing many nuts or citric fruits or WHAT but I feel great and THIS TIME feel like I don't have to sit around thinking much about this anymore. YEAH! My body just needs TONS of cleansing LIQUIDS!!!

The recipes will come but for now, this is working well!

Thanks for your support back in....whew...a while ago:)

Welcome back, Berry Gal. Smoothies and soups (savory smoothies) have always been the base of my raw diet from the beginning till now. I have just a few I rotate, but mainly stick to the same ones. I love them still. Liquid meals are really key as you've figured out. You'll lose weight in no time. :)

I always found that green smoothies helped to cut down on cravings, that the cravings just didn't happen as often. I am a big fan and have one sitting downstairs waiting for me as we speak (type). :) Good luck!

Green Smoothies and blended soups are a HUGE part of my diet and I always feel optimal when eating primarily these, too. :)

However, I don't limit myself consciously... I just listen to my body, and some days she wants nothin' but Green Smoothies... and other days, she wants a big nutty pate! :D

I'm wishing you ALL the best as you continue your HEALTH journey! It's not a journey "to" Health, btw, it's the journey THROUGH HEALTH!!! Starting now. :)

I like the green smoothies and usually use a frozen banana. I love the texture, but it's so cold for me now. It chills me to the bone. Anyone have an idea for a "warm" smoothie or veggie drink or something?

THANKS!

Maybe if you do a veggie smoothie or juice with some cayenne in it? I read somewhere that this is a "warming spice". I have the same problem as you, right now the smoothies make me SO cold, but I make a cup of warm water with some lemon in it and drink this after the smoothie. Warms me up.

Snuggling with a blanket helps too. :)
