Here are some pictures (just of my face) So far I have lost 14 lbs. I feel so awesome! Although, the middle picture of me is on a day I was really not feeling well. I have a brain disorder and suffer from migraine headaches, really more pressure than anything. Unfortunately this cannot be cured with raw due to it being structural. Raw does keep the swelling of tissues down, but so far still having really bad headaches for about 6 or 7 days of the month. I have them everyday, but some are more tollerable than others. Anyway, love this forum and thought I'd share some photos! *hope I do this right*

You look Wonderful!
Thanks for sharing :D
On a side note....have you ever checked into Craniosacral therapy? I know a lady who offers it & has changed people's lives with severe migraines - who've lived with them for years & now they rarely have any headaches ever - just a thought. :o

OMgosh guys, I haven't been on here in a while. Thank you SOO MUCH for all the nice things you said. I'm only a couple weeks away from my year anniversary of being raw! What a wonderful year it has been. Had my challenges, but stuck with it and I'm really happy. Everyone beginning their journey, all I have to say is to stick with it, you'll be so happy you did. I am going to post a full body shot hopefully on my 1 year. I have to find someone other than the 8 year old to take it, lol. Here's another one of my face, trying to grow the hair out before I die! It's driving me nuts, but I'm hanging in there.

wow, you look gorgeous!!!! Congratulations on being raw for a year! What benefits (besides the obvious outside/looks stuff) would you say you have seen over the past year? And.. if you don't mind (and if you do, I apologize), would you tell us how old you are?

First, thank you Luna! I feel pretty good too! I am 43 years old :) No problem there. Age is just a number to me...I still don't know what I wanna be when I grow up, lol.
Let's see, the last year has been so wonderful. Watching my body transform back to the way it used to be has been amazing. The most amazing though has been the fact that my headaches don't hurt as much. My stomach doesn't feel like it has 10lbs in it at all times. My periods are light now and only last about 3 days. The neuropathy in my feet has dissapeared. The scars on my shoulders basically are eating themselves! My skin looks alot better, my eyes are whiter, my teeth are whiter. I could probably go on for days.
I really have to say that I have enjoyed learning about how our bodies work. Such fascinating subjects out there to learn about. Learning to "uncook" has been a blast! Helping others learn about raw is fun too. I just wish when I tell people about it and try to teach them, that they would actually follow thru. I just stick to my plan to plant a seed, set an example and see what happens.
Even though I'm not 100% physically (and that has nothing to do with raw, but everything to do with the disease I have. It cannot be fixed by raw but it does help the inflammation in my brain) I reminded myself with this journey what a strong woman I really am. I had forgotten that for a while. I love raw! Here's to another year of success for all of us :)

wow you are looking gorgeous -- definitely a raw glow to your pics!! Ditto on the craniosacral -- have you looked into that yet its worth a try... if you have referred pain in the neck and shoulders it may also be helpful.

Shelly, you look absolutely FAB! So happy for you!
When I read your first post my first thought was craniosacral therapy can help. Then I saw that Monk and others suggested the same thing. As a former massage therapist I would recommend checking into it.
Can't wait to see your 1 year photos!

Hi guys 1 year 7 months raw here's a pic of me and my family. All the girls belong to me and the tall boy is mine :) Trying to upload others, but the resized pic won't load. Just checkin in to say hey!
p.s. the couple on the right is my daughter and her husband who together lost 140 lbs in 6 months on raw. My son in law lost 104 of that!!!! He won a contest at his gym :) so proud of him!!!

You are so young looking. I would never think you are in your 40s. You look healthy and that is also what I am striving for. Mostly to feel great and be healthy.
