Hello, I'm a 14 year old who's been raw since the beginning of 2010. I've been interested in raw for a few months as a health-conscious vegan and gradually ate more raw foods until I felt (somewhat) comfortable being high raw (about 99%, since I sample the tea at the farmers market and what-not :p).
So far, eating and living raw has been super fun. My family is not against it (though they would probably be happier if I made it simple and just eat what they eat ) so it hasn't been hard to adapt to. I'm lucky I thought vegetables were cool when I was little, it's paying off.

Glad to be here!
When I became vegan I would google for recipes. I already had a general idea that whole, uncooked foods were better for the body (after reading the book Skinny Bitch, which is what made me vegan from vegetarian) and every now and then I would see a recipe with the word RAW attached to it. ;) I'm a google-maniac; it's my main information source for just about everything. When I became more interested in raw, I discovered that there is a raw restaurant about 15 minutes from my home and became familiar with "raw-style" food. When a person wants to truly adapt to something new, they will. :)
