my cuties taste funny
my apples are soooo bland
bananas on the table make me want to throw up
my pineapples are green
my peaches are gone
I have no tomatoes
avocado looks grody

sigh

do you have days like this? course those are pretty "mono" meals but I dont feel like making anything. I dont hav ea lot of fancy stuff yet (ordered online.) I made "chips" but they aren't done yet, and I dont like to eat after 7pm.

man- what am I gonna do!?

I would slice and dice the cuties, apples, and bananas and call it a fruit salad.

Or make blender applesauce; chopped apples and cinnamon, optionals: sweetener (dates, agave, or maple syrup), lemon (orange) juice, raisins, walnuts. Blend it up like applesauce leaving it slightly chunky. Eat it with a spoon, or add water and greens and make it a smoothie.

The avocado, hmmm... cut it in quarters, sprinkle with sea salt and pepper and eat with it off the shell.

Not all together of course, one of those at a time. :)

I just had one of those day recently. Fortunately I don't have days like that very often but every once in awhile an old cooked food meal or snack item from the past will come over like a dark cloud appearing on an otherwise sunny day. Usually if I just think about how radiantly good the raw food tastes and how I like to feel good and then the cloud moves on and the sun shines brightly once again. When I find a stubborn cloud in the sky I start asking myself some good questions about why I want to stay raw and then I make something good like a fresh made orange juice or whatever sounds good to me in the moment (don't forget to do this part). Then I go to the store and get a shopping cart and move off into the store asking myself the all important question of which is it going to be -- raw or cooked ? The answer must be one way or the other because like a lot of things in life you can't have it both ways and still get the benefits desired. Invariably I always choose to put raw foods in my shopping cart and I smile all the way to the produce department. :)

honestly when i go through times like that... i fast.

i always take that as my body's signal that it doesn't want to eat.

I go to a nearest shopping center and try to find something I didn't eat yet or I didn't eat in a long time. I found many new fruits this way.

That's interesting I never thought of it that way. I'm going to try that next time it happens to me.

I've been having a few days like that and was thinking about fasting. Nothing sounds good. I have some days when for a week straight I will crave watermelon, or mangoes, or nori or something, and I take that to mean my body needs something in those foods. So if I am not craving anything I guess that could be a sign that my body doesn't really "need" anything at the moment. I think I will juice fast today because I'm not really feeling like eating...
