View Full Version : any objection to taking much wheatgrass juice?

I have found that wheatgrass juice blended with pineapples very pleasing to my taste. I feel glad for this change of taste. I used to feel nausea for hours after taking wheatgrass juice.

I am thinking of taking much wheatgrass juice (blended with pineapples) while I am liking it.

I have heard that all greens have a small amount of toxins so we should not take any kind of greens in large quantity. Is there such caution against wheatgrass juice?

Not that I know of. My teacher built up to 25 ounces a day for 3 days.

no reason that i'm aware of... except that it can be hard on your tummy at first. build up slowly... and listen to your body. it'll let you know if you are doing too much.

Revvell, 25 oz. is a lot! Did your teacher ever tell you the motivation for taking so much wheatgrass juice?

Just as an experiment.

What was funny was that one cashier at WF's asked if it was safe for him to be drinking that much. Guess they never ask at 7/11 if it's safe to drink a Big Gulp, eh?

Or at Starbucks if it's safe to drink that much coffee. ;)

They rise as you take more but then they reach a point where they plateaux and you get no benefit from extra. I think that it was 8 ozs.
This does not mean that the ninth will do you any harm but just that it will not do you much good because your body will not absorb any more nutrients.

May or may not be true. How many has anyone studied for any length of time who had been drinking 8+ ounces of wheat grass juice? AND, since everyone is different (so "they" say), who's to say that 9+ wont benefit someone while only 2 ounces will benefit others?

Actually, probably a mute point since I doubt anyone here is going to be drinking 8+ ounces of wheat grass a day.

I did point out that it was not harmful, just that the effects diminish after a certain amount.

Steve meyerowitz recommends a minimum of 10 oz for a therapeutic effect.
