Did anyone in their transition of their wallet and stomach...
start off doing raw foods with non organic fruits and veggies? or just jump right in to organic?

Hi!
I'm still eating non organic, except when I need things that I only can find organic. I don't have the money to eat all organic, but buy organic sometimes.
I try to buy local at the market, it's cheaper than in traditional stores, and often, it's better quality.
I asked myself the same question one year ago, but remember this: eating fresh non organic fruits and vegetables is always better than eating processed foods. I've been high raw for a year now, and I can tell you that my health is MUCH better now. Do what you can.
Organic is better, for health and for the earth, but if you can't buy it at the moment, it's not an issue, just do your best with what you can afford at the moment. :)

Thanks so much! That was a big help and a relief off of my wallet! I have also heard that once you go organic and eat non organic you can become sensitive and get sick from the chemicals they use to kill pests on the veggies/fruits. That also brought upon the concern of getting sick at a get together where I cannot express the need for organic such as weddings/parties etc.

I don't eat all organic, all the time.
Non-organic RAW is still healthier than organic SAD!!! Think about it. ;)

I started off trying to do all-organic. Now, I eat a lot of organic, but conventional too. The main thing with raw is to just eat RAW, whether or not it's organic. Eating raw conventional food, despite all the pesticides and herbicides and all that garbage, is still healthier than eating cooked organic food. Unless of course the raw conventional food in question is VERY toxic, then by all means eat something else. But if you're going to eat corn (one of the top 4 GMOs), it should always be organic. Same deal with wheat berries. GMOs are scary.

This is just so TRUE!
BTW to the Cadelmcg, there are lists of the most polluted/toxic vegetables and fruits that you can find on the Internet. Just see the top toxic ones and try to buy them organic if you can, or be particularly careful when you wash these conventional toxic ones. That's it!
When I began the raw lifestyle, I wanted it to be perfect. I cannot achieve perfect 100% organic and raw and vegan all the time. There are always some exceptions. This not about perfection, it's about health and happiness. Don't get obsessed with raw food, just enjoy it ;)
