You could try googling the name of the company that provides the seeds to the store. That's what I did with my boyfriend's chia pet...he wanted to plant a longer lasting plant in the container, so I ate the seeds for breakfast after checking to make sure they wouldn't hurt me. :D

Ask at the shop if they are made for human consumption. So, what do they use/sell them for at the shop?

i asked, they said they didnt know, we dont sell food haha, i think im grabbing the bargain soon...

today i have ate a home made museli thing with goji's coconut, oats, bran..

Also, the oats from asda, says gontains gluten, should gluten be avoided? and the pistachio's were shelled unsalted, should these also be avoided?...

Are they unshelled? I'd love to get some unshelled seeds so I can make hemp sprouts, allegedly one of the most nutritious sprouts, or rather, most nutritious foods, that you can eat.

The hemp seeds they sell in bird feed stores are killed in some way. If you get in contact with the distributor, be sure to ask about the use of pesticides, and if they're irradiated, heated, or killed off in any way.

The notion of trying to keep a plant with so many uses out of our hands is quite an incredible slap to the face of our peoples.
