Hello All,
I had a colonic today, and my hydrotherapist was able to be, as she put it, much more "aggressive" than previously (this is my 3rd treatment). This is good news! I've had discomfort and sensitive digestion for my entire life, and even though raw is a world of difference- I'm not completely well. She said I'm coming along :)
HOWEVER she found what she called an "enlargement" in my intestine. If you were looking at me, it would be in the upper right (my left) quadrant of intestine. She said that the enlargement traps matter, which leads to my issues...bloating, etc. She said this is caused by the space not getting emptied... I guess chronically. I'm not sure how old this is, but she did empress upon me that it is important to heal it.
Her advice was triphala, castor oil packs, and in general KEEPING THINGS MOVING THROUGH. This, she says, will allow it to heal.
Can anyone offer advice?

So repeating what I said... and assuming that I didn't already try crude search methods... Even the med school search engines don't have much on this.

I would make sure that you eat flax, or something similar, every day to keep things moving. Here's a recipe:
Soak a handful of flax and a handful of raisins in water that's about an inch higher than the top of the mixture for 4+ hours.
Add a few spoons of carob powder.
Heat a cup of water and blend with the soaked mixture.
Viola! a warm carob pudding that will really keep things moving.

I suspect that I have the same thing. It gets very painful - right around to the backside. I use psyllium - drink a teaspoon in H20 with a spoonful of blackstrap molasses. This will cause bloating at first so start once a day with a little and build up to several X before meals (3.) Always chase with a full glass of plain water to make sure the psyllium does not bind up inside you.
I also alternate with slippery elm bark powder which I take as a slimy tea with honey and cinnamon.
I don't have to do this all the time anymore. Maintaining a probiotic balance is good too. My preference is with sauerkraut and kombucha rather than any pills or capsules.

aye. careful, friend. folks are trying to help. people have different levels of internet research skills and sometimes don't know where to start.
maybe this is what you're looking for:
"How to Shrink the Abdomen, Repair Prolapsus (Cleanse and Purify Thyself, 135)
A thick and dangerous mucoid buildup in the intestinal tract, as seen in the famous "beer belly," causes damage to surrounding tissues. Once the mucoid layers are removed, the seriously stretched intestines are still soft and flabby. But there is hope for a normal and healthy look *blessed are herbs!
After cleansing, white oak bark and ginger root, when used together, can help to draw the flesh back to its original position. Take three (3) capsules of white oak bark with three (3) capsules of ginger root three (3) times daily on an empty stomach. Those with a prolapsus should use a slant board along with these herbs after completing the Cleanse. While on the slant board, gently massage the intestines upwards. Do this two or three times daily or as needed. Follow your intuition.
The same herbs are also suggested for those with prolapsus of the transverse colon along with the use of a slant board. Lie on the slant board with the head down, and gently stroke the abdomen, especially the transverse colon, towards the head. Reach as deep as you can and draw your intestinal tubes upwards. Visualize them staying in place. Remember, your mind is the controlling factor in your life. Once your subconscious mind accepts your suggestion as true, it will become a reality."
