Raw Mesquite

Okay, I bought some raw mesquite powder the other day and now for the life of me, I cannot remember what I wanted to do with it.

What's the deal with raw mesquite? What does it taste like? What's recipes call for it?

Short of opening the bag and tasting the powder, I thought I'd check here first, lol!

I use it sparingly, a teaspoon in a nut mylk drink along with vanilla, and a sweetener. I also add it to nut burgers or and walnut taco "meat".

I think it has a slight smoky sweetness. Go ahead and open it. It lasts a long time. I've been using the same bag for a year.
