Hey Everyone!

Could anyone share a recipe for caesar dressing that does not contain the following:

garlic, or anything else with that taste (onions, etc.)
vinegar

I would prefer if it did not contain nuts (seeds are fine) but I can make do with nuts if they really make the dressing.

For a while now I've been CRAVING caesar salad, but can't figure out a satisfactorily similar replica with these restrictions.

I've been trying and trying, but I have to bite the bullet and accept that my body just doesn't want garlic. Or onion, or scallion, leek, shallot, hing, or anything else with that taste. Alliums, I believe they all are.

Ditto to apple cider vinegar. I've tried removing the "stem" inside the garlic clove, and I've been trying to use the raw unfiltered ACV. No luck.

Wow, we must be twins :D
I can't handle any of those foods either :(
I don't have any suggestions, but thank you for posting it, maybe someone will come up with something for the both of us!!
I'm fasting right now, so I will put it on my list to eat later.
Cathy

What if you tried making whatever version of the C.S. recipe you have w/o the garlic ?

Use lemon juice instead of acv and make it without the garlic as others have said. If you can't stand the taste of something, leave it out.

Do you like granulated garlic or garlic powder? I'd add those in instead - or like everyone said above, leave it out - it'll be great! *Ü*

I LOVE both, but they make me feel dreadful after :( The lack of garlic and onion is why my previous attempts have been disappointing.

Would anyone recommend using something like lime and/or tamarind instead of lemon? The vinegar (which I can't use) gives it a nice tang that lemon doesn't replicate.

Oh. Thanks, Revvell.

Um, so you all are saying just try the SAD recipe or another raw one I can find and sub the ingredients? I tried that several times, and even though some tasted good none tasted like caesar at all. Oh, well. I guess it only tastes like caesar with garlic in it.

If you want to add some of the tanginess without the vinegar you may try adding a 1/2 t of capers.. capers are used in many traditional ceasar salad dressing recipes. And although not raw they may just provide that tang and saltiness that you are missing from the garlic and vinegar ! And also..give lemon another chance..it is so delicious..

I do love lemon :)

Are there capers that are really raw? The only ones I've seen are definitely not.

I think I may try lemon, tamarind, dark miso, hemp seeds, and olive oil. See if that works. Maybe nutritional yeast, too.
