So I was reading a few informational books today at Barnes & Noble about Raw foods..and a lot of them said you get all of those toxins out of your body so you begin to become a lot more sensitive emotionally. Not over emotional..just notice things more. Even to the point where you may become annoyed with people you once enjoyed. Did you guys find this? I had just assumed I would become an even more awesome person than I already am... (haha jkjk).

Most importantly...did you find that maritial/gf/bf (whichever you are) arose...or did you get along better than ever... orrrrr was it just the same?

Thanks for helping me out with my annoying Q's! :-P

There definitely is an emotional aspect to going raw, but in my experience, it is overwhelmingly positive -- depression alleviates, your intuition sharpens, and there's an overall sense of connectedness with everyone and everything. Emotions feel much more clear and easy to deal with. It's easier to stay positive -- in part because you feel so good all the time!

I never experienced annoyance with people I once enjoyed. Quite the opposite! I get along better with everyone because my mood is at an even keel, with no crazy ups and downs (not even hormonal ones). I've found raw to be the best mood lifter and mood stabilizer out there.

I agree with all Denise said. I think I have even been able, through my calm, to help bring others who were irritated/aggravated to a calmer place just by keeping composed. I'm definitely more forgiving, tolerant, patient, and happy.

My hubby and I get along so much better when we are sure to drink green smoothies. Raw food is one of the things I have in my life to keep me sane. When people tell me they are grumpy I tell them to eat more salads and avocados. Ha. Works for me!

I noticed much of the same as the others....

Wayyyyy more positive & happy
A much longer "fuse" so to speak
More loving
More compassion
More listening - less reacting
The list of benefits goes on & on.....;)

All I've read is good, good, good. I can't speak from experience (haven't done it long enugh), only from the testimonials that I've seen. For me, this is a HUGE plus side of being raw. I'm so grumpy all the time. :/

I have a pretty high stress life, can't say I've noticed that much of change at all. I've been 100% for 1+year

In the month that I've been almost 100% raw, I've definitely noticed an increase in happiness. I don't know if it's a placebo effect, but I was dealing with some depression and didn't have any desire or motivation to do anything, and lately I've been very motivated! It's nice!
