Hi all,
I have been hovering at 90% raw since the middle of December, and I have decided to go for the big 100 starting Monday the 1st.
I don't have a juicer or a dehydrator or even a good blender, but I'm feeling really good about it. After looking for a while to find what going going to work for me, I've decided that I love feeling good more than I like cheese or crackers or rice! I'm going to take it one day at a time, and I'm not forcing the dH or my son to do it, so, my resolve will be sorely tested. (I'm the only cook in the house.)
To give you an idea, I'm a over-employed Mom (4 part time jobs) I'm 35, and and after going 90% raw, I lost 20 of the 120 i needed to lose, and my joints hurt me MUCH less. (I can even get back on the ice again for more than an hour without my feet screaming at me.)
I used to spend a lot of time in the gym, played goalie in the adult rec league here, and did a LOT of Hatha yoga. I want to do all of those things regular again, after I get my body back under control. (I can skate 2 times a week now, and it's awesome)
So, after lurking a while, and reading the Alissa's book (and 12 steps by Boutenko) and watching Alissa's DVD, things are looking all rosy and motivating.
Nice to meet ya'll, and I'll see you on the raw side.
