Hi, Guys,
Here's a little about me. I am from Upstate NY. Have always struggled with weight. I did Weight Watchers a year or so back. Lost about 23 lbs but fell off of the band wagon. I was contemplating going back but stumbled into flirting with the idea of a Raw Foods Diet when I was scanning through some cooking books at Barnes and Noble. I have really done some research. It sounds like it has a lot of positive pros.
I am 85% ready and excited to dive right in. I am just nervous because its essentially going vegan as well. I was brought up on hamburgers and steaks (hardcore meats). It was always meat and potatoes on my plate. I have always continued that. I do love meat, but I am willing to make that sacrifice. My family has a history of mental illness. I don't want to go down that path.
It looks like there is a lot of recipes out there. I will have to look for some inspiration out there so I do not get bored or frustrated. Is it easier and faster to go raw foods?
Also, has anyone noticed do you save more grocery shopping...or is a little expensive due to having to buy better quality foods? They say its the Raw Food "Diet", do you have to eat certain amounts of things..? or is it basically until you are satisfied? I guess are there any regulations out there besides what you eat?
Thanks Guys!
