About 3 weeks ago I did 7 days on the master cleanse (3 days, then 4 days with one day in between).
I'm used to doing the master cleanse so I don't blame the cleanse for this but I think I have sort of killed my metabolism from how I transitioned back into solids. Aka, I didn't transition, I didn't prepare for going back to solids adequately enough and I just ate EVERYTHING, I ate every single SAD food I could find (this is because I was away from home when I did the fast and I didn't have access to shops, only what as in the home I was staying in.) I must have eaten around 3000 calories a day for the following week or so in that post-cleanse binge.
Anyway it's been 2 weeks since, and I've been eating better, about 50% raw and then a cooked dinner. Problem is I've noticed my weight seems to have stablised 3 lbs higher than what it previously was... I think I changed my metabolism setpoint because I came off the MC so badly I didn't give my metabolism a chance to get going again so it's running slower and consequently I can't shift any weight and I'm stuck at a higher weight than normal.
What should I do? I would like to master cleanse again for about 20 days this time being EXTREMELY careful about transitioning, perhaps lengthening the transitioning period to about a week so my metabolism can restart properly. What do you think? Would this solve the problem? Many thanks!
