View Full Version : Is this because of raw?
I was on one of my more typical days today where I am raw until dinnertime because I cook for the family then.
What I had today was a fruit smoothie for breakfast, trail mix for lunch and then for dinner I had a MASSIVE salad with chicken and rice.
About half an hour after I ate I experienced a massive energy crash which I'm not used to and I'm assuming this is because of the chicken and rice but has me eating more raw lately made the energy crash more noticeable? Thanks! :)

Well, doesn't look like you are consuming very many calories over the day so that coulod be it, but I know that in my own experiences, when I'd eat a BIG meal, especially if it contains *white* carbs, that caused me to crash...that could be it...don't know about the chicken, as I don't know how long it takes your body to get used to NOT eating it, yk? (looooooong time veg-head here :) )

Try eating ALL raw for a few weeks. Then see what your body does. ;)

The rice and other simple carbs will cause a crash which you may notice now that you're only eating them once a day. Meat is another story--your body has to work sooooo hard to digest that stuff that it's probably wearing you out. and yes, it seems different at the one meal you eat other than raw, because it is---drastically. Do try eating more raw and see what happens. I get up at 5, work a full day, swim or otherwise work out and am still buzzing around the house until 11 or so. It's RAW, baby ---all about energy!!

I don't think so, Raw or not, that is NOT enough food throughout the day. Yikes. :(
