the ONLY thing that sounds good to me is my zucchini spaghetti and avocados. Even at that, I just don't want to eat.
what do you do when nothing sounds good?
what I've been doing is snacking all day.. today was 2 oranges, 3 bananas and 6 large cherry tomatoes. I dunno- I was full when I hate my 2 bananans for dinner. now I'm hungry again. That's something else, I eat 2 bananas, am full and an hour later I'm hungry..
Is anyone else going through this? this is week 6 or so of raw, if that helps ya asess the situation :)

Gosh, I wish I had your problem! :D
But seriously, is this for the short-term, or has this problem been going on for weeks? If it's been a while, I would suggest there might be an underlying physical/psychological problem going on, and it would be worthwhile to go to your doctor/naturopath and get some blood work.
Otherwise, if it's just temporary, maybe you need to put more effort into making raw dishes. I mean, a bowl of blueberries and a banana are boring, but blended together into a pie they can be heavenly. I would't worry too much if it's only been a day or two; your body will tell you what it needs.
Maybe your body is asking you to fast? What about doing a liqiuid fast for a week or so?

Nothing to assess. Eat when hungry, sleep when tired, drink when thirsty. That's what normal animals do. Many will envy you. Enjoy your naturalness.

I've been doing the same thing for the past three days. The only thing that sounds good are the cashew "cheeze it" crackers I made and orange juice. So that's all I've been eating. I was kinda worried it would screw with my metabolism (I'm doing raw for health and weight loss) but I figure, like Revvel lsaid, "eat when hungry." My body knows what it needs/wants. A week ago ALL I was hungry for was mangoes, and I ate TONS of them. It will pass. Enjoy your zucchini spaghetti and avocadoes. :)

may be something you're needing. while it's been so cold here..all I wanted was avocado ALL DAY. I wouldn't give in for a few days & it was miserable. When I did, it lasted a few days then passed. Now, I eat 1/2 to 1 avocado per day. In the summer, I ate tomatos & things on lettuce leafs. I ate about 6 of these per day! Now, I don't want tomatoes but, I know when summer comes....that's all I'll eat!!
No one thinks about someone eating soup for a few days or mashed potatoes, spaghetti..same thing.

It's amusing to me that I try to have such a varied diet on raw, when so many people eat the same monotonous thing day in and day out and don't think it's boring at all.
Boring isn't the issue. We are all trying to get a wide variety of nutrients. When I feel like this or hear of someone else who does, it reminds me of the story Victoria Boutenko tells about her children who were craving 1 or 2 fruits only. They ate them until they were coming out of their eyeballs. Later when she consulted Bernard Jensen about what they should be doing for the asthma and diabetes the kids had, he told her to get them to eat - the VERY things they had been craving and eating! Their bodies had led them to the right things. I once had a massive thing going for grapefruit. I'd eat 4 at a time and the next time I wanted something to eat, it was grapefruit again. My husband was a bit freaked out at how many I was asking him to buy for me. Well that lasted for a few months. Then all of a sudden I just didn't crave them. I wasn't sick of them or turned off. I just didn't crave them so I didn't eat them. I am sure my body needed something in that grapefruit at that time.
So yes, eat when hungry. Eat what your body wants. When all else fails and I am prowling around wanting to eat "something", I almost always find that a handful of nuts does it for me. It's the crunch, and the non-sweet taste and of course the oils in them is satisfying too.

Listen to your Body. She wants a break from FOOD - give it to her. :)

Even at that, I just don't want to eat.
I went through a patch like that. It felt like a type of self-sabotage. My old SAD habits were using tricks to trip me up. By not eating I could be more easily tempted to eat something that was not raw.

All the foods you have listed are quick to digest. Two bananas will pass through your stomach in an hour. That is why you are feeling "hungry" again. Seriously, is that all you have eaten today??? No wonder you are hungry. :)
I hate my 2 bananans for dinner.
Is that a Freudian slip or what? :D

Here is another thought.... I went throught a period when I was looking for new stores to shop in, new things to try. It was thrilling to find a new fruit or vegetable I had not never eaten before. If possible, expand your shopping horizons and diversify.

Just throwing something else out there.....anorexic people who do not want to eat usually have a zinc deficiency.
If you have a zinc deficiency, you generally have bad b.o. smelly feet, and catch colds frequently etc.
But I'm also confused. You said you don't get hungry, yet when you eat two bananas, you're hungry an hour later!?

I have the same problem. I haven't figured it out yet :(
It's gets pretty bad... I'll make food and it will sit in front of me for hours. I try to pick at it... but I just don't want it in my mouth. I wish I could mainline it to my stomach.
What I've been doing is forcing myself to have big green smoothies. That way I don't starve and get nourished.
That's an interesting idea, with the zinc deficiency. I'll have to check that out.
