Hi,
I've tried to make raw bread. I soaked and sprouted the grains and put them in my blendtec to make a dough. The blender made a noise that didn't sound good to me. How can you make a dough out of sprouted grains?

Were you using a recipe fro Alissa's book? Those are supposed to be good - Annie started a thread in this section of the forum on her results for bread making. I think she said she put them through her champion juicer, because the food processor didn't work well, which is the experience I've had.

Dough can be heavy, and when I put too much in my Vitamix, it lets me know by making a displeasing sound... if I don't heed its warning, it'll automatically shut off so the motor doesn't burn my house down. You're quite the forgiving fellow, my dear Vitamix. *smooches right on the cheek*

Eachpeachpearplum has a wonderful thread on making bread. It is Bread 101 and I'm sure you can find it if you do a search.

Breads are a wonderful addition to the raw lifestyle, and it's worth getting past the learning curve, which can be quite steep!

Good luck.

I have been making just the flax crackers but my husband doesnt like the flax. I have been experimenting and so far i blended some sprouted wheat with ground flax. I added some water, agave and sea salt. I mixed it in my little food processor till it was dough like and spread it out to dehydrate. It made a pretty good flat bread, which had a good whole wheat flavor. Hubby liked it okay, better than the flax crackers. I would also like to find out how to make more breads, especially if i can do something thats a little fluffier.

Alissa has recipes for awesome breads and muffins in her book. I love them!
