Excalibur Trays

Hi everyone, I just got my Excalibur yesterday and had a question for those of you who use one. Should I remove the empty trays when dehydrating? I was making some sweet potato chips, but only filled up the top 3 trays (I have the 9 tray.) Should I remove the other empty ones, or does it not matter? I didn't know if it helped speed up the drying process or not.

Doesn't matter far as I can tell. Too much extra work to remove them then put them back after. Leaving them out and they'll collect dust here so I just leave them in.
