Hi
I'm new to raw eating and had 5 100% raw days in the christmas period and had 4 days in the last two weeks of January. I have had green smoothies, avocados and linseed crackers, salads and deserts made of dates, seeds and nuts, agave nectar the majority of time. I have gained around 4 pounds in weight and have recently developed huge cold sores on my mouth and nose. Help anyone! Whats going on?

Honestly, based on what you're telling us, I would NOT be blaming the weight gain and cold sores on the handful of Raw vs. majority SAD eating days you've had. :)

My suggestion?

Give 100% RAW a trial in your life -- at least 30 days, consistently, and THEN see what happens. :)

I have found that I get cold sores if I am under stress or after a flight.
The more raw you eat the better for you so do not think we are being critical but why not give it a try. Do the 30 day challenge. I will help you out if you want to send me an email.
It will make a huge difference to how you feel. I love the energy and the good feeling. Weight watchers have a saying "no food tastes as good as being skinny feels" so let me say that no food tastes as good as being raw feels.

I still get the occasional cold sore even after 4 and a half years of raw but would not change back for anything. I love it.
