Well, after indulging a little bit too much over the Christmas holidays, I'm feeling the need to do a detox. A friend of mine recommended the book "The SimplyRaw Living Foods Detox" written by Natasha Kyssa - former model and raw foodist of 20 years. At the end of the month, my friend looked and felt amazing --- she also lost 20 pounds!

As I also live in Ottawa, I'm thinking of doing the group program. Has anyone done this detox, either privately or in the group setting?

Thanks All!

Cori

If this thread disappears, this will be why ~

1. No threads/discussions dedicated to “other” approaches to raw foods. This includes such diets as 8-1-1, low-fat, low-fruit, natural hygiene, fruitarian, raw meat/dairy-eating, mono-eating, no-grains, no-fruit etc. There are boards dedicated to almost every approach to raw foods such as these mentioned above. But they will not be discussed in detail here and promoted here. Again, this board is for support of a raw and living food diet as outlined in Alissa’s book and DVD. If you don’t own the book and are not familiar with Alissa’s concept for eating raw, it is stated further down below these rules and guidelines.

Coriandar,

I took Natasha's guided detox early this year. Her program uses living foods (sprouts, wheatgrass, greens, E3live) to both cleanse and nourish the body. After the initial detox symptoms (headaches and crankiness!) the first week, I felt amazing! Losing 12 pounds effortlessly was an added bonus!

The SimplyRaw Detox really takes you back to the foundation of the raw lifestyle --- simple alkalizing high water content living foods - which many raw foodists tend to overlook. So easy to get caught into gourmet...;)

Natasha has an interesting background. Check out this link to hear her being interviewed in various interviews: http://www.simplyraw.ca/about/videos/
