"A question that sometimes drives me hazy: am I or are the others crazy?"
---Albert Einstein
I am feeling that all of my friends think I am crazy now, for this lifestyle I choose. I know not to get absorbed into others opinions of this lifestyle, but these are friends, people I care about. I talk to them about the diet and they look at me like I am an extremist now.
Is there something I can tell them that will clear this up? There are some of my friends that "believe" in the concept of raw foods, but I know they are just saying that and dont truly understand. It is hard to not be so passionate about this topic when I am talking with friends, as I 100% Truly want them to try and experience what I feel all the time now. I also have an abundance of energy now and its hard to controll myself when I go onto a long raw food tangent discussion.

You like quotes so, here's one for you ~ "Leave others to their otherness and take care of yourself".
This has been discussed here ad nauseum. There is nothing you can tell them. They feel threatened. Just enjoy being with them in whatever capacity you can. Enjoy your food, your companionship and if they ask about your food, tell them to come to a demo where you can prepare something. Show them how easy it is; have them taste it and that's about it!

Show them by walking your talk! Eat live raw foods... show them how gorgeous your skin is, how great your hair is, how fab your body is. Show them your health, your vitality and above all else...
Don't worry about what other think... only be concerned with what you and your body need!
We've all been through it... and when I say through it I mean... it does end somewhat. People start just accepting that this is your lifestyle choice and they stop questioning. Until then... here's a hug for ya! (((hug)))

See, I do realize that the only way to change peoples opinions about it is through visible results, but its very hard when people are closed off to an extreme idea of any sort. I strive to really show my new energetic, loving, happy self as much as possible without being over the top with my passion for raw foods.

Just hang out and don't make a biggie out of it.
Don't be a preacher, or a guru or enthusiasticator. Just do. quietly.
Get over it and they will too.

It's odd. I used to struggle with this, too. But I don't anymore.
You know what changed?
Not my friends!
ME! I changed. :D
I think differently about my lifestyle, I think differently about what I want and who I want to share it, and I simply have a different attitude about Raw!
When I stopped thinking that my lifestyle was odd, so did my friends. :D

agree with pps...just enjoy it & feel good. If they ask then, answer but try to keep it short. We can't change anyone unless they want too....it can be hard when you want to help someone.

The need to talk about it will fade. :) Now I only talk about it with friends and family when they want to, and it is always about the food that I made to share with them. Nobody wants to hear about how or why they should do what I do.
I have finally found several raw meetup groups that I get together with to talk raw.
