I noticed on the photos only thread that there were some dehydrated potato chips. Now I know there is some debate about raw potatoes so would dehydrating them make them okay? I would love chips:)

Many people really like them, but I haven't had much luck making dehydrated potato chips, as they often end up too tough. I heard that rinsing the starch out really well is a good thing to do, but I don't know, I find that kale chips satisfy my chips cravings better as they are flavorful and very crunchy :) I actually like them better than potato chips, and I used to love chips back in the days ;)

and see if it works. I double rinsed and dried and got them on the dehydrator so we will see what happens. I was more wondering if they were toxic when raw?? is there a consensus on that?

They're not ;) But the potato sprouts are, apparently. Let me know how they turn out! It could be that I didn't slice mine thin enough.

and I am eating them right out of the dehydrator which kind of sucks because they are not getting a chance to do their thing. I dont mind the taste of raw potato though with a little oil and salt...mmmmm...is that weird?

Raw potato chips are a PITA to make, but well worth it. I'm going to have a recipe in my coming up recipe book ;)

eating raw potatoes isn't toxic, just green skin on the potatoes, so be sure to peel off any green you see

Yeah that's what I heard. I don't think the sprouts/tubers are toxic either.
