Hi I have been raw for 2 months, although during that time there was a day or 2 of cooked food, I'm sure I digested it all out though. I heard detox can last even 6 months so I got very frustrated. I'm having a terrible detox, including rashes on my face and tons of breakouts and I don't want my summer to be ruined with having to deal with these breakouts from detoxing, I just want to know any method on speeding up the detox as fast as possible because I don't want my summer to be ruined with acne all over my face or I will have to eat cooked food again even though I don't crave cooked food at all :(

Please, any method of speeding up the detoxing proccess I would love:)

Honey, first going back to Cooked/SAD isn't going to help you. So banish the thought!

Why entertain "failure"? You merely empower it!

Did you have problems with acne PRIOR to going on Raw? What type of skin care products do you use? What methods have you already tried to heal the acne? What does your average Raw Food day look like?

Finally, do you drink Green Smoothies?? (They help me TREMENDOUSLY with maintaining clear/healthy skin.)

P.S. Summer is a loooooooooong way off. Don't borrow trouble. ;) Focus on what you WANT, NOT on what you DON'T WANT!!! What you Focus on, multiplies. That goes for pimples, too!

i had horrid adult acne for 20 years before going raw. now i seldom... very very seldom have any at all.

raw works!!!

wash your face with coconut oil... works GREAT. add it to your bath... you can even use it on your hair!

and remember to love your face... tell your skin how much you love it. love is a very very powerful force... don't dismiss it.

LOVE!!!

Prior to going raw I only had a few small pimples that you couldn't even tell I had them with a little concealer.
I only use pure jojoba oil I don't use anything on my face that has a chemical anymore. I eat lots of fruit and tons of raw spinach, I drink soo much water everyday also

well fruit is cleansing... so that could be part of the reason your breaking out. which is a good thing cause you are detoxing more with so much fruit.

although... in my experience... detox just happens. it just does. it comes. it goes. it's here. it's gone. it just is.

i just embrace it and welcome it...knowing whatever was INside me... is now leaving!

Just think how good you'll feel when your clean inside and have clear skin as a reflection of your inner health.

Steam room, sauna, hot epsom salt baths will help the gunk get out of your pores faster. running, etc if you work up a good sweat helps too....

Keep in mind - your body might dump more that way when the path is clear....

Keep your colon clean - when the colon is overwhelmed, the skin becomes a pathway for the icky stuff.

oh - and fasting

Fasting will most definitely speed up the detox process. I am impatient, not a bad impatient, but if i know there is a quicker route to my goal I take it. I did a 4 day juce fast just because the detox from only raw foods was moving slower than I wanted. I was lacking this energy that raw food should bring me and my poop was not as solid as I would like.

I now poop on a regular basis, its nice and solid and im experiencing more energy, less detox than before. \

This is an unusally examole, but if the detox is bothering you fasting is one way to speed it up.

roboto,

Could you share the details of what you did during your juice fast?

I'm thinking about doing one... not sure what approach to take.

I was wondering about this - is it possible to rush through the worst of the detox by fasting for 20 days or so, so the detox doesn't last as long?
