Ok, Hi my name is robo... ive been 95% raw for about a month now. For me it was such an easy transition as I aaam very in tune with my mind, body and spirit and until a few months ago I had not even heard of the benefits of eating only living food. Safe to say I will likely never go back to processed foods again.
To summarize, I went through the standard detox fever on my 4th day of raw, lost a bit of sleep, had aches, headahce etc etc.... nothing I couldnt handle and I was actually very excited when I was going through this fever. Since then I have had fluctuations, ups and downs. My downs are getting fewer and farther between and my ups are getting higher and high :). At times when I am on a raw "high" I feel euphoric, elated, loving, in touch with those around me, blissful, slightly energetic. I love that feeling and that was one of the main reasons why I went raw, as I dont need any weight loss (20 years old, 6' 2", 155lbs, male).
Since I went raw I have obsessed over it, like I do with any and all of my new hobbies. This led to me my reading on juice fasting. THe main reason juice fasting interests me is because I am lacking this certain energy. I feel like im no where near my full energy potential, even though I am running more. I have the mental clarity and emotional stability but not as much physical energy as I would like. So I feel I have read and understood how the juice asting works, its an accelerated form of detox similar to raw detox, which I believe is what I need.
So, I plan to do a 7 day long juice fast, and depending on the 7th day I may extend it. I understand how to initiate the fast and how to break it, im just wondering what the ups and downs will be like. I am currently going to school during week days and am not working. We have monday off next week so this gives me 3 days to try and get past the initial detox at home.
So if anyone can help me out on the overall timeline of a juice fast ( how I should feel over a time period, when I should be feeling bad and when I should be feeling good so I can guage my schedule around this). I am also posting this so I have clear motivation, and will be keeping a journal each day of how I am doing, so stay tuned!!!!
edit: I will be initiating the juice fast tomorrow (saturday) and will break it saturday evening (this is my plan and I will stick to it until the last day where I will determine if I should continue the fast)
