Losing weight is liberating for me. When I can physically tell that my body is shrinking, I feel so happy and ready to stay raw forever!

But emotionally it's so hard on me. I have certain things I run to whenever I'm emotionally distraught without a release. I'll binge/purge or something else destructive to my body and I'm off the raw food. I'm gaining weight everytime I go through something emotionally.

I want to get to the point where losing weight is RELEASING weight and never seen again. Any tips on how to get there? On how to handle emotions in a healthy way?

Raw is my dream but so hard to fulfill sometimes...

writing in a journal... getting your feelings out of your body and on to the page is very helpful and may assist you to find the core reason(s) you are emotionally eating.

Expression. Writing, drawing, painting, creating. Emotional release in another form. ;)

This sounds so much like me! I find myself grabbing food that is bad for me when I get stressed or upset. I know I need to get the junk food completely out of the house, but my husband wants it around.

Sorry, I wish I had some advice for you.

Don't beat yourself up. PLAN a 'cheat meal' once a week so you can control your cravings otherwise. As time goes by, you will lose your desire for the foods that make you feel badly. If you KNOW you have a 'cheat meal' on Saturday, then it's much easier to resist temptation during the week. It's harder when there is no end in sight. You don't have to be PERFECT--high raw is an excellent lifestyle!

Eat at least 6 small meals a day, with enough good fats & calories in each meal to keep you satisfied for 2 or 3 hours. This will fire up your metabolism & help you release bodyfat.

What kind of exercise are you doing? A good tough workout is great to take out your stresses on something positive! Take it out on the weights or the cardio machine! Diet is 80% of the game, but the proper exercise is critical, and your activity level must be in balance with your diet.

Focus on building strong, shapely muscles & that will help you release your stored fat also! :)

Blessings and love to you on your raw journey!

Or, Indian clubs or iron clubs or kettlebells, or ground engagement or join/sinew movements or preferably a combination. Also, dancing ~ belly, ballroom, etc. Do something that you find fun and can do on a regular basis.

Movement eliminates a lot of the emotions that come up ~ well, soothes them anyway ~ in conjunction with writing, EFT, Emotion Code, Sentence completions...
