I am at the stage where I can replace my chemically rich body soap with a natural one. Any suggestions?

I use Dr. Bronner's castille soap (almond is our favorite) or a shea butter bar...I forget the manufacturing company though.

I use Dr. Bronner's also. I like the liquid-baby or almond. Make sure to dilute it with water. It's the most cost-effective. I use it for everything-dishes, laundry, other cleaning. You can add oils or scents to it as well.

Yep me too! I even use it in my dishwasher. Here's the "recipe" if anyone is interested (greenlivingtips.com) :

Ingredients:

1/2 cup liquid castile soap
1/2 cup water
1 teaspoon fresh lemon juice
3 drops tea tree oil
1/2 cup white vinegar

Method:

stir all ingredients together until blended. Store in a squirt top bottle. Use 2 tablespoons per load of dishes, shake well before use.

I even wash my hair with it! Great stuff!!

I apologize for the tangent Teraw!

my favorite is Tropical Traditions coconut oil soap, both the bars and liquid are awesome, and the lavender smells delish!

I wish I could use castile soap as it would be more cost effective, but I cannot handle it. Way to harsh for my skin. That is just me. Obviously many here swear by it.

I use organic soaps made by a local woman I met four years ago selling her products at the Farmers Market. I have been using her products ever since. She also sells online. belladiterra.com (http://www.belladiterra.com/)

I use her face soap, face potion, and in the shower I use her Shea Butter Soap (from her baby line).
