just a quick question, have been looking at threads about making food prep easier and one said about freezing dehydrated meals. I know some goodness is lost, but just wondering, when you do this do you dehydrate for the total amount of time and then freeze, and then defrost and warm up in dehydrator?

Also, (for food I am eating next day so not freezing) if I am making twice the amount of something and it needs dehydrating, is it better to dehydrate the whole lot, then keep in fridge the portion for next day and warm up, or only dehydrate half and keep the other undehydrated portion in the fridge to warm up next day?

sorry, but still quite new to dehydrating.

best wishes

I dehydrate until "done", then freeze, then defrost, and warm in dehyd.

When I dehyd I always do for the complete time and then refrig or freeze.

And don't apologize - that's what this board is for. Raw food has quite a big learning curve - well, for me anyway!
