I went 100% raw a little over 2 weeks ago, I feel amazing. But, a couple of days ago I started developing fluid in my ear and now the ear canal is just full of fluid and I cannot hear out of my right ear at all, this has persisted for the past 36 hours. My mother, who is a pediatric nurse practitioner suggested antibiotics, but I am hesistant as I would like to see what my body is doing.
My only question is this: Is this a normal reaction, or a detox effect?
Has anyone else had this problem? I had plenty of ear problems as a child, and they eventually went away, but here I am 20 years old and im developing an ear infection again.
Thank you for the help in advance!

You're assuming it's an infection. Google "retracing" as a sign of detox.

Quoted from healthynewage.com:
" Sometimes pain and symptoms during the healing crisis are more intense than that of the chronic disease, but this is temporary. Remember that the immune system of a toxic person is suppressed and one thing that happens with a cleanse is that the immune system begins to "wake up" and the first thing it wants to do is get the waste out, quickly. A healing crisis can quite often also bring about a retracing or temporary resurfacing of past conditions and personal issues. People often forget the diseases, issues, or injuries they have had in the past, but are usually reminded during the crisis so that they can heal their unfinished business. This arises in whatever order the body is capable of handling at that time. Physical reactions during a healing crisis may include depression, mental confusion, flu-like aching joints, skin eruptions, nausea, headache, sleepiness, unusual fatigue, constipation, diarrhea, head or chest cold, ear infections, boils, or disturbance in eliminatory functions the body uses to loosen and eliminate toxins. An initial healing crisis usually lasts around three days but if the energy of the patient is low, it may last a week or more."
I believe this is exactly what is happening, as i have never had any type of ear problems since I was a kid. Ive tried and tried to clear the fluid out of my tubes, but continue to fail. Is there anything in particular I should do the help the body with this problem, or just let it do its thing?

you could look into ear candling, I've never done it but heard of it.
Gingko helps to increase blood circulation to the inner ear, I've used it with many ear problems and it helps to get the blood there. if it's infection, use vit C and herbals plus the gingko to get it to the ear.

Use a neti pot to rinse the sinuses, and when you have nasal drainage do not sniffle inwards, always blow your nose instead. Sniffling can draw stuff into the eustachian tube. Warm sweet oil may help with the ear canal issue.

I am detoxing too and it started as a sore throat and this morning my ears were popping like they have fluid in them. So I am having an ear connection too. If it's not too serious/life threatening, I'd ride it out for a few days!

Oh it's not a serious problem at all, just rather annoying as my perception of sound an direction is off and Im slight off balance. I purchased some
sweet oil to see if that helps, I'll report back tonight.
The way I see it is my ear is like a tunnel that is getting repaired. yOu can't start working on the tunnel until
you close it off to the public.

Yea I cant actually tell where a sound is coming from, as I only have one good ear right now. Same goes for the eyes, depth perception is rather tricky with one eye closed.
To update, I used some sweet oil, it didnt help but did alleviate some pressure. I still cannot hear from the ear, but as disgusting as this sounds I had a load of wax come out of that ear, correlation? I think it is both beautiful and disgusting at the same time, the ear is healing itself (from what IDK).

Here is something else, sorry I forgot to mention yesterday....it probably would help with the release of the wax, and increase blood flow to the area.
Sit next to a desk lamp with the heat of the warm bulb aimed at your ear. My mother used to do this when she got earaches. I have rarely suffered with them, but my younger brother always had them as a kid (had a lot of dairy with his oatmeal and I think that was the cause). I know they can be terribly painful. I think I have less because of a dairy allergy and not consuming it helps keep them clear. When I used to eat dairy the doc everytime I was in his office, asked me if my ears hurt. I would say "no, why?" and he told me they were injected (looked red/inflamed inside). After stopping diary that all quit as did all the sore throats.
