ok so i have been doing some research and this is what i can up with to make to transition its from dr oz does this sound just about right?

Week 1: Transition
During the first week, you’ll detox off red meat, eliminate sugars and white flours and start eating your vegetables raw. Instead of white pastas, eat whole wheat, substitute grilled chicken for red meat, swap out sugary desserts for fruits and replace cooked vegetables with raw ones.
On a raw food diet, you should only be consuming unprocessed, preferably organic whole foods such as:
 Fresh fruits and vegetables
 Nuts
 Seeds
 Beans
 Grains
 Legumes
 Dried fruit
 Seaweed
 Unprocessed organic or natural foods
 Freshly juiced fruit and vegetables
 Purified water
 Young coconut milk
Week 1 Tip: The kitchen closes at 7pm (or 3 hours before bed!)

Week 2: Juice It Up
This week you’ll eliminate meat, poultry, eggs and dairy; to compensate, add lots of vegetables and fruit smoothies to supplement nutrients. Try interesting combinations of fruits and vegetables like a banana spinach smoothie – high in potassium, folate, vitamins K and A, and magnesium

Week 3: Go Nuts
During the third week of your detox, add nuts and seeds as a staple of your diet. You can substitute some dairy items with those derived from nuts, like raw almond milk. When snacking on nuts, soak them in water first to wake up their natural enzymes. An excellent lunch on the go is a raw veggie burger made with almonds and walnuts.

Week 4: Hasta la Pasta
Even though during week 1 you substituted white pasta with whole grain pasta, you’re now cutting out pasta altogether because it’s cooked. Try a meal consisting of shredded zucchini with veggie meatballs and raw tomato sauce. This may be the most challenging week, as you will be eating 100% raw.
At the end of the week, evaluate what you liked best and work into your regular diet. Make sure to always substitute whole grain pasta for white pasta!

any other suggestions would be great!!!! thanks

oh and does anyone have a idea of what staples i next to stock up on.

No beans. Grains and legumes should be sprouted. Have you tried looking for Alissa's book at your local library?

Save your pennies to buy the book. It is worth the investment. You can't put a price on health.

Best raw wishes to you. :)

I've heard it said many times that the single biggest change you can make is to drink a green smoothie in the morning. I personally prefer green juice because it's not as heavy, but I know lots of people say smoothies are better for the fibre.

In any case, start the day with a big glass of water, then drink something with mostly greens and a fruit for sweetness. My favourite is juicing one head of romaine, one apple, a whole lemon and some ginger. I usually add a bit of agave for sweetness.

I found this alone changed my life. Seems like a lot of work first thing in the morning, but it'll reframe your day.

Next, eat a salad at both lunch and dinner. A green salad with lots of veggies.

Personally, while I agree with Alissa that cooked food is really addictive and it's better to go 100% raw right away, I found my body and psyche revolted. Like I'd eat raw for 3 days, then I'd eat a bite of something cooked and be like, well I'm not 100% so I might as well eat tons of non-raw food. So now at this point if I'm craving something non-raw, I'll eat a salad with lots of nuts first, then a portion of the cooked food. It's not ideal, but better than going off the rails.

One thing I found really easy to get rid of was processed desserts. The raw ones taste SO much better.

A last tip, I've found it's really important to be KIND to myself, and not get upset if I don't eat perfectly.

Good luck!

ok let me at this :D

15 years ago i became ethical vegan and started a whole food mostly cooked vegan diet , 4 years ago i went raw vegan . heres how ide do it .

im just gonna list most of my old cooked vegan diet , to this you add the raw things you want . obviously more raw the better . then you keep pushing towards more and more raw til there .

- oats
- dry beans
- brown rice
- boiled or baked potato
- vegi soup
- bean soup
- dry pinto beans / rice / lettuce / tomato / salsa
- spaghetti sauce on brown rice
- broiled vegi on brown rice
- steamed vegi on brown rice

to that your adding fruit / salads / nuts , drinking water .
thats a solid cooked vegan foundation that shall keep you
filled up to replace the heaviness of creature flesh . i used
to make big pots of dry beans or soups to last for 3 days
for conveiniance

i was there for years . then i cut it down to brown rice and steamed or broiled vegi . i then cut it down to steamed vegi . then raw
