i know it is so much more preferrable to juice organic vegetables, but is it dangerous to juice non organic b/c of the concentrated amount of pesticides? i have celery and spinach that are non organic that i don't want to go to waste. has anyone here ever juiced non organic stuff? thanks!

thanks for getting back to me! do you wash the non organic produce or do you ever just stick them in the juicer straight away? also, i have an omega juicer, could it be more dangerous since it is a masticating juicer so the pesticides are more concentrated or something?

I can't answer your questions other than washing ~ non-organic you can put in various solutions. I add a few drops of GSE (google is your friend) and let it soak. Organic, I only wash if it's obviously dirty.

I've never found juicing to be "dangerous" no matter what kind of juicer I've used. The benefits outweigh the danger, far as I know.

I almost always peel non-organic produce. That eliminates some benefits, too. It is a trade-off.
